Eye Thought Eye Saw...
Our eyes are called the gateway to the soul. A person's eyes can often betray his (assuming our person has a Y chromosome) inner thoughts and character, piercing straight to the soul. Great actors can 'talk' with their eyes: a flicker of the eye is able to convey disgust, anger, pleasure, sorrow etc. When two sets of eyes meet, a wordless form of communication is achieved (in Memoirs of a Geisha, it's a great Geisha is able to stop anyone in his tracks with a mere look). That is the power of the eyes.
With such expressiveness and importance placed on the eyes, man would naturally define what 'beautiful' eyes are. I can safely say that a 'beautiful' eye consists of the following:
- large and wide eyes
- thick, long eye lashes (curtains to the windows; find an Indian friend)
- double eyelids (somewhat less common in Asians than Caucasians)
- lack of eye bags
- coloured iris (non-black/dark brown eyes) <-- this one is debatable since the grass is always greener on the other side.
Now that we have established what a 'beautiful' eye consists of, we can get down to the dirty business of analysing.Before:

Starting with the easy ones.
1. Coloured Iris
By the year 2006 everyone who hasn't been living in a well for the last twenty years should have heard about Contact Lenses. And now for the trickiest bit of the lot.5. Larger Eyes
Many readers have questioned the size of her eyes. Not surprisingly, the majority was if and how her eyes got larger. That is two questions right there.
1. Whether her eyes indeed got larger
2. How did she do that?Observe the next few pictures (a to d from left to right)
a & b are pre-alleged operation pictures; c & d are post-op shotsOver picture b, I have included an outline of her iris (the round coloured membrane surrounding the pupil). As you might have gathered from reading my previous articles, some parts of the human body don't change much; well the iris is one of them. The size and colour of the iris remains with you for life.
Picture b shows about a 20-25% overlap of the iris by the upper eyelids. Upon examining c & d, where most of the iris is visible, we notice that the size of the eyes have indeed changed. Although some might consider this to be overwhelming evidence that her eyes have enlarged, I would still like to comment that the verdict is not absolute. Since we only have one picture of appreciable resolution of her former days, we are unable to confirm our proposition statistically (many other factors could make one's eyes look larger, for instance, opening the eyes larger).Okay, here's the real kicker: Blepharoplasty can make eyes look larger.

i heard that fake eyelashes can also be "implanted". i don't think they're actual implants, though. they probably glue individual strands of fake lashes to your existing ones.

I think her nose looks so fake cos the plastic 'bridge' is too high for her original nose. Or is it due to the work of a mediocre surgeon?
eh, mistake in your labelling. she already had double eyelids before, just wasn't as prominent as now. she went to make them higher.
her eyes were also quite big already during our secondary school days actually. maybe in that photo never open wide to look gd. now with larger double eyelid and thse contacts/eyelashes, MANGA sized. scary.

I've clearly stated that the ideal of having or not having double eyelids is a misnomer in one of my previous posts. Everyone has folds in their eyelids, else you won't be able to open them at all. What everyone thinks she did was cut the eyelids higher up so that the crease is more prominant.

she's not even pretty AFTER surgery. check out the FHM cover, she looks like any common auntie with fake eyelids and a long horse face. the only reasons she looks good on her blog are 1. VERY heavy makeup 2. careful selection of the best 50 of maybe 5000 pics she takes of herself, and 3. photoshop editing.

Dunno. Dawn looks so different in her magazine photos. She looks like her old self in magazines. I wonder why? Maybe for her blog, Adobe photoshop has a lot more helping hand in making her look pan-asian rather than plastic surgery.
My take on Dawn is that, with plastic surgery, she does look good from certain angles. Otherwise, she kinda resembles...Michael Jackson due to her nose.

she obviously had plastic surgery before.. her cheeks alone tells everything.. she used to have chubby face but now, it looks kinda 'sharp'.. and i think there's one pic where when she smiles, there's actually line below her eyes...WHY? because she had plastic surgery! and her pupil...gosh.. no asian could have had that kind of colour... one more thing... her body size and her head... they just don't match each other... her upper body look like an european while her lower part is just a normal petite asian...
but plastic surgery is a personal likes... if she feels happy doing it then go on... i mean its not you the one doing it right? and i think it is quite common doing plastic surgery.

I have always thought Dawn's best friend "Cancan" aka candice look more chio than dawn herself. This is because Cancan looks natural compared to dawn.
If 3 of them really had the same nose surgery, then Dawn must have further reduced her nose.

For me I am not against plastic surgery per se-more 'recreational' plastic surgery like the one Dawn went through, and what she has inspired a lot of young singaporean girls to do. Just go to local forums and you might find discussions on what they should do next after their nose and eyelids are 'done'.

There is obviously some heavy photoshoping done to her JC pics in dawn's own blog, even though she said very self-righteously in the comments of that post that she did not. (And while doing it, why didn't she do her fellow plastic-loving friend Cancan a favour by photoshopping her in that post as well? What a selfless friend.)
But of course since she already denied having physical plastic surgery done to her face, some further denial of virtual plastic surgery would only be peanuts to her.
Do you guys realise that Dawn's recent pics are not that 'flawless' anymore? She looks more obviously fake and unwholesome, esp the nose of hers. It looks so sharp and hard, like you could break open a rock with it.
All that makeup/eyeliner and eyeshadow is getting pretty scary too.
